DIY your Mother’s Day greeting card, love.

scoring the card with a bone folder

A special freebie for a special day – Mother’s Day! Mother’s day is one day in a year when we can shamelessly honour our mothers and proclaim our inner mama’s boy (well for me, at least). So I created a greeting card design that is simple and heart felt plus it is super easy to DIY.

The card’s size is a 5×7 so it will fit any A7 envelope. Print this in on any paper you prefer, just be advised that the paper should be more than 10″ x 7″ in dimensions (I placed it in a letter size template).

After printing, score it with a bone folder and fold it again with the same tool to avoid that annoying crease or wrinkle when you do it by your hand.

Without further ado, download the KidGolightly Mother’s Day card HERE.

Happy Mother’s Day to the wonderful Moms around the world!

Much tenderness,

Hello 👋🏻

I’ve been in and out of Instagram for awhile now since I was roaming around in my home country, the beautiful Philippines. For me it felt like a very long holiday & even though it was amazing I am beyond excited to be back. For me 2017 is just about to start and I feel invigorated to claim this year and start on pending projects & future ones. Hello to all of you!

I Still Do.

The mission for this collaborative effort was to uplift marriage and the vision was my interpretation of these three words, “I Still Do”. The concept for me was almost instantaneous! I immediately envisioned my signature organic calligraphy + minimal illustration on cotton rag handmade paper. Trying to achieve a nostalgic luxurious feel with simple almost effortless, if you will, piece of art – which is what I feel like how true love is. I want it to be so much by saying so little just like those three words. So now, I am so elated to announce that my contribution to Kel and Mel’s #istilldoproject will be available this Thursday, December 8th and I will be offering you FREE SHIPPING on any order placed at their shop ( between December 8 – 12. Just use this code: ISTILLDO2016 at the checkout.

And the best part is, all of the proceeds from the sales of the I Still Do Project contributions will be directly applied towards funding the wallet-sized cards that are distributed to husbands and wives at no cost to them during the I Still Do Project (beginning February 15 while supplies last, annually).

Check out the images below.

Much tenderness,

All sorts of red.

What. A. Year. It. Was. 2016 was all sorts of red!

We finally reached December and if you are still downloading my calendar, using it as a guide or just an accent – I am so happy you are with me all through out the year. I am still high from Thanksgiving and it is only fitting that I should thank you, my loves, for the continued support. My heart is truly filled with so much gratitude!

For this Month’s free Calendar, I collaborated with a good friend Abraham Sta. Maria  who is a freelance creative. His works range from fashion editorial to lifestyle blogging (check his awesome blog, I swear you’ll be clicking follow as soon as you read one entry). The illustration for this month is really really special, because it is Holly Golightly explaining the “Mean Reds”. This is the scene which struck a chord with me and shook me to the core back in my teenage years. I chose it for this month (especially) to commemorate all the mean reds and bright reds I went through this year, as well as my personal Heroine and my brand’s muse, and this will also mark the LAST of the free ready to print downloadable calendars. So I really want this one to be extra SPECIAL!

Another thing I want to share is – I’ll be taking last orders of the Holiday Season Gift Wrapping Paper Set (customizable) in my Etsy  only until this weekend. I will be in a month long hiatus and my only remaining project for this year is the Basic Calligraphy Workshop: Brush Lettering in Singapore – so, I hope I’ll see you there!

Here’s to it being the most lovely year yet indeed. Cheers!

What does Bliss mean?

Bliss. A beautiful word with such deep & vast meaning. I feel like the dictionary can’t really sum up what the true meaning of the word is. So I guess what it means depends on you. For me bliss is like a white light. Just as pure light is the totality of all colors, it is the collection of all that makes you happy. It is what I felt when I had the lovely epiphany of what I really want to do after all the years of not knowing & feeling like there’s a void inside me. It is what remains after everything external & fleeting disappears. So, what is bliss for you?
